KiiltoClean, a leading provider of hygiene and cleaning solutions, partnered with Smurfit Westrock to develop a more efficient shelf-ready packaging (SRP) solution for its lotion products. By combining transport packaging and display functionality in a single corrugated design, the new solution streamlines handling, reduces material consumption and simplifies shelf replenishment.

The Challenge

KiiltoClean's previous packaging solution consisted of a separate carton insert and an outer corrugated box. The two-component design increased material usage, added complexity to the packing process and required retail staff to spend additional time converting the packaging into a shelf-ready display.

The Approach

Smurfit Westrock developed a two-in-one packaging solution that combines transport and display functions within a single corrugated structure. An integrated insert secures the products during transportation, while the open design improves product visibility from multiple angles. A perforated tear-off top allows the box to be quickly converted into a shelf-ready display, reducing handling requirements in-store.

The Result

The new solution eliminates the need for separate packaging components, reduces material usage and streamlines both packing and shelf replenishment processes. By integrating product protection, operational efficiency and enhanced shelf visibility into a single design, KiiltoClean benefits from a more resource-efficient packaging solution and a smoother workflow from production through retail.
